We are currently seeking a Construction Contract Administrator.

Responsibilities include all those required of the Architect during the construction phase by the Owner-Architect Agreement and the General Conditions of the Contract for Construction. Candidates should have a solid and progressive work history with a minimum of 7-years’ experience in related position(s). Candidates shall also possess the following: organizational skills to prioritize tasks and administer multiple projects concurrently; excellent verbal and written communication skills; a thorough knowledge of building and accessibility codes; negotiation skills; a demonstrated ability to manage teams; and an ability to foster and nurture Client relationships. Candidate shall be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Familiarity with Revit software as well as construction industry project management software such as Newforma, Procore, Deltek, and AIA Contract Documents is a plus. Candidate must be able to travel to project sites throughout North and South Carolina. Out-of-state travel is a possibility. Incumbent will be subject to physical demands and must be able to navigate active construction sites that do not contain accessible routes, in addition to climbing ladders and scaffolding, going into holes in the ground to check footings, using temporary stairs to access upper levels of buildings under construction, etc.
Qualified applicants possess an Accredited Professional Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in design or construction related field preferred (architecture, construction management, engineering, product design, etc).
An ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in assembling specifications for projects of wide ranging design and scope; experience in applying materials and methods to projects in related market types is required; Architect Registration, CSI Credentials and LEED AP or equivalent experience in sustainable design specifying is desirable, not required; and experience with MasterSpec, Specs-In-Tact, AutoDesk Revit and eSPECS is highly preferred.
